Hello. I’m your host Otto M. Asian. Welcome to the BAT Watcher for April 22 2023.
We start with a 2020 Lamborghini Aventador, LP770- 4. SVJ Roadster.
With 1,600 miles, according to the listing.
In Bianco Isi, with Nero Cosmus Alcantara interior.
There are 290 SVJ, in the SC Sage database. Of these, 149 are roadsters.
And there are 35 roadsters currently on the market. A very high percentage of the total build.
The average market price for this model is $941,429, with 3,779 miles.
This specific example has been recently logged on SC Sage in March 2023, just before it went on to the BAT auction platform. Priced at $899,999, with 1,513 miles.
Like many of the highest end supercars on BAT. It should not be expected to actually sell here. BAT is just a way to gain wide exposure for the vehicle.
The SVJ may be track focused, but most roadsters will never see the track.
And even though the roadster was a limited production model. It’s not too hard to find one for sale.
This one should not be expected to sell at this auction.
We move on to a 1,800 mile, 2020 Lamborghini Huracan EVO, coupe. This is an LP610-2. In Verde Mantis with Nero Ade Leather.
There are 429, EVO coupe. In the SC Sage database.
On the market are 87 coupe for sale. This is a very high percentage of the build. The market is currently saturated with EVO coupe.
The average market price for this model in coupe is $294,119, with 6,419 miles.
This example first showed in SC Sage in March 2023, at $289,981.
Apparently, this listing is yet again, another classified ad on BAT pretending to be an auction.
Looking at the Autocheck report, this vehicle has no reported accidents and 1 owner. It is now offered by a Porsche dealer in Pennsylvania.
This example has much less than average miles. However, the market has too many cars for sale at the moment, to give this one much hope. It will most likely not sell on BAT.
Next up is a Paint to Sample Porsche. 991.2 GT3.
A base model with P D K.
Colored in Gemini Blue, with Leather Alcantara Interior and Black Platinum Stitching.
There are 3,224 Porsche, 991.2 GT3. In the SC Sage database. Of these, 2,471 are base models. And of these 54 are paint to sample.
There are 115 base models on the market today. Within the margin of a normal market size for this model.
The average market price for the base model is $198,762, with 10,444 miles. This example has 4,700 miles.
In the SC Sage database we find that this example has been for sale almost continuously since May 2022. Priced as high as $208,888, down to $187,999 in March 2023.
Looking at the Autocheck report, the vehicle has no reported accidents and 3 owners.
This car has lower mileage than average and has been recently priced below average. But it has not sold. Even though it is Paint to Sample.
Maybe there is more to the story, as to why this car has not moved. However, there is a good chance that it will move here.
We now have a Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe. A 2010 model 997.2, with manual transmission. Listed with 24,000 miles.
Outfitted in Black, with Black Leather.
There are 1,489, 997.2 Turbo in the SC Sage database. 883 of these are coupe. And of these coupe, 296 are manual transmission.
There are very few comps on the market. This should be to the seller’s advantage.
The coupe average price is $120,597, with 39,840 miles.
This car first showed in SC Sage in November 2021, with 24,027 miles. The same mileage as today.
Digging deeper. This car has been on offer from that date through to this auction, by the same dealer.
It’s not clear what the seller expects to have happen here. When the recent price expectation by this seller, $169,999 just a month ago, did not garner a sale.
It didn’t sell before BAT. And it wont here either. Unless the seller decides its finally time to let it go.
We move on to a Porsche 991.2. GT3, RS. With 13,000 miles. In Black, with Leather Alcantara Interior in Black and Lizard Green.
There are 1,763 of this model in the SC Sage database. However, this one is a Weissach, with painted lid. And there are only 180 of these.
To put this in perspective, there are 649 units in North America in base model. And 934 units, which are Weissach with carbon lid. So, this one is of the lowest production body type. Again, only 180 units.
There are not very many of these to choose from on the market. The body average price is $252,331, with 5,943 miles.
This car was first seen by SC Sage in January 2020, at $219,800, with 4,852 miles.
The Autocheck report shows 3 owners, no reported accidents.
Prices may be higher today than in 2020, at the start of an economic slowdown. But getting to a price that the seller will accept, may prove difficult. And is probably not possible.
Nearing the end of this edition, we have a 2021 Ferrari, F8 Tributo Coupe. Offered at no reserve, with 1,900 miles. In Bianco Avus, with Rosso Ferrari leather interior.
There are 847 of this model in the SC Sage database. With 481 in coupe body style.
There are a lot of these on the market. 113 at the time of this recording. The market is quite oversaturated.
The coupe average price is $413,598, with 3,380 miles.
This car was first seen by SC Sage in September 2022.
Miles matter on these units so this one should be above average in price. But with no reserve, sometimes bids stay low as no one wants to be stuck with an artificially high price.
We do know that it will sell. But above or below the market average price is the question. We think below.
We conclude this edition, with a 44,000 mile, 2015, Lamborghini Huracan. LP610-4 Coupe.
Featured in Bianco Canopus, with Rosso Alala Alcantara and Nero Ade Leather.
There are 1,178 of this model in coupe in the SC Sage database. Of these, 67 are currently on the market. Within the normal range of market inventory.
The average price for the coupe is $219,679, with 19,538 miles.
The last public offering of this example was in July 2021. Priced at $188,950, with 32,650 miles.
This one is not worth more than that now, this is for sure.
The Autocheck report shows 5 owners, no reported accidents. So it has five owners, and a lot of miles, and that means low bids.
The seller would be smart to let it go here, if it can get to around $150,000.
