The following is the build reference for current SC Sage data, content, apps and reports.

Data and Analytics

Vehicle Page Overview

  • Enter an email address and valid SC Sage Vehicle Identification Digits or a NHTSA Vehicle Identification Number to view Vehicle Page data. the app only accepts a 6 digit SC Sage VID or a 17 digit NHTSA VIN that is already in the database
  • The Vehicle Page data returned is dependent upon the subscription level associated with the email address submitted.
  • Data displayed varies by marque.

Valuation Kit

  • Valuation Kit data and analytics are updated daily in conjunction with the running of the daily Spider.
  • Data changes reflect addition and subtraction of vehicles from the Spider data window.
  • Target Price is the current Last Price Spidered if the vehicle is in the current spider window or the Target Price entered manually.
  • Target Mileage is the current Last Mielage Spidered if the vehicle is in the current spider window or the Target Mileage entered manually.
  • Body calculations are the current priced observations for the Model+Submodel+Body in the current spider window.
  • Year calculations are the current priced observations for the Model+Submodel+Body+Year in the current spider window.

 

Vehicle Specifications

  • Open Valuation Kit is a smart link which opens the Valuation Kit for the vehicle and prepopulates the form (if in the current Spider window) and submits the inputs to generate results.
  • Marque, Model, Submodel and Body are based upon the 17 digit NHTSA VIN.
  • Year, Country and Transmission is the based upon the 17 digit NHTSA VIN.
  • Other Spec is vehicle specific information and additional content.
  • Exterior Color 1. MSO or PTS indicates a custom color.
  • Exterior Color 2 is the custom color if MSO or PTS.
  • Interior Color 2 is the build limitation number or other specification for limited series.
  • Options are primary manufacturer build option codes and descriptions if available.

Database Counts

  • Unless otherwise indicated counts and analytics reflect the database and are actual or approximate North America numbers for the Marque+Model+Submodel+Body.
  • Counts for different subdivisions of Marque, Model, Submodel, Body and Transmission can be determined using the Count app.

MSRP Statistics

  • MSRP statistics display depends upon if the vehicle is in the current spider window.
  • MSRP statistics display is currently only available for Porsche.

Vehicle Market Statistics

  • Spider Statistics display depends upon if the vehicle is in the current spider window.
  • Current Body and Year Comps on Market is the number of VINs in the current spider window.
  • Current Priced Comps on Market is the number of VINs in the current spider window with prices.

Model Body Statistics

  • Model Body Statistics display depends upon if the vehicle is in the current spider window.
  • Statistics are the same as are found using the Market Value app.
  • Specific VIN’s included in the calculations can be found using the Market Inventory app.
  • Body calculations are the current priced observations for the Model+Submodel+Body in the current spider window.

Model Year Statistics

  • Model Body Statistics display depends upon if the vehicle is in the current spider window.
  • Statistics are the same as are found using the Market Value app.
  • Specific VIN’s included in the calculations can be found using the Market Inventory app.
  • Year calculations are the current priced observations for the Model+Submodel+Body+Year in the current spider window.

Vehicle History

  • Vehicle History reflects data Spidered by SC Sage.
  • Most Recent Market Log Date is the most recent date upon which the vehicle was seen on the market.
  • First On Market Log Date is the first date that the vehicle was seen on the market.
  • Last Priced is the most recent date upon which the vehicle was seen with a price.
  • First Priced is the first date that the vehicle was seen with a price.
  • Market History is a catalogue of historical observations of this VIN.

Vehicle Assets

  • Source Notes are a historical compendium of seller notes
  • Images are seller images recorded at each spider event if available.
  • Experian Autocheck reports can be pulled by qualified members.

Experian AutoCheck Fast Link

  • New AutoCheck reports can be pulled for a VIN using the AutoCheck Fast Link button located at the bottom of the Vehicle Page app.
  • Previously pulled AutoCheck reports can be viewed at the bottom of the Vehicle Page app.
  • Access to the AutoCheck Fast Link button to pull new Autocheck reports is limited to authorized users.

Abbreviations

  • we use abbreviations in display labels which we believe are intuitive but just in case here is a synopsis.
  • VIN = Vehicle Identification Number
  • VID = Vehicle Identification Digits
  • Avg = Average
  • Mkt = Market
  • Ext = Exterior
  • Int = Interior
  • Trans = Transmission
  • Comp = Comparison
  • MA = Mileage Adjusted

 

Applications

Overview

  • SC Sage apps are the window to data, analytics and other content.
  • App capabilites may vary depending upon the marque.

VIN Check App

  • This app checks a VIN to see if it is in the SC Sage database.
  • Results are returned to the screen only.

Vehicle Page App

  • This app utilizes the VID or VIN to return the Vehicle Page.
  • The app only accepts a 6 digit SC Sage VID or 17 digit NHTSA VIN that is already in the database
  • The Vehicle Page data returned is dependent upon the membership level associated with the email address submitted.
  • Results are returned to the screen only.

Database Search App

    • This app utilizes the model descriptions data for each vehicle in the database.
    • Each step of the app filters the database and returns the data elements of vehicles remaining after adjusting for all prior filters. each step only generates selectable elements based upon all prior selections.
    • The app is not designed to return a high volume of matches or to collect VINs. it is primarily designed to drill down to the narrowest target specification to identify vehicles.
    • The dynamic count is the number of vehicles at each step which match all elements selected at each step.
    • The number of matches returned for each search is dependent upon the membership level associated with the email address submitted.
    • The email address is used to create smart links to open the Vehicle Page at the member level associated with the email address.

the current match count returned by level is:

    • Basic – 10
    • Market Update – 100
    • Premium – 100
    • Premium Plus – 200
    • Premium Pro – 200
  • If the number of vehicles matching the search criteria (count) exceeds the amount allowed for the membership level a random subset is returned.
  • Results are returned to the screen only.

Market Check App

  • This app utilizes the model descriptions data for each vehicle in the database.
  • Each step of the app filters the database and returns the data elements of vehicles remaining after adjusting for all prior filters. each step only generates selectable elements based upon all prior selections.
  • The dynamic count is the number of vehicles at each step which match all elements selected at each step.
  • Results returned represent the market statistics for vehicles currently in the active Spider window matching the selection criteria.
  • The vehicles in the counts can be viewed in the Market Inventory app.
  • No registration or log in is required to access this app.

Market Value App

  • This app utilizes the model descriptions data for each vehicle in the database.
  • Each step of the app filters the database and returns the data elements of vehicles remaining after adjusting for all prior filters. each step only generates selectable elements based upon all prior selections.
  • The dynamic count is the number of vehicles on the market at each step which match all elements selected at each step.
  • The results returned represent all of the vehicles currently in the active Spider window matching the selection criteria.
  • Valuation and mileage results are for the priced vehicles only.
  • The Market Inventory app can be used to identify the vehicles contributing to the results from this app.

Market Inventory App

  • This app utilizes the model descriptions data for each vehicle in the database.
  • Each step of the app filters the database and returns the data elements of vehicles remaining after adjusting for all prior filters. each step only generates selectable elements based upon all prior selections.
  • The dynamic count is the number of vehicles on the market at each step which match all elements selected at each step.
  • The results returned represent all of the vehicles currently in the active Spider window matching the selection criteria.
  • Results can be viewed for the entire market or only vehicles which are priced.
  • The email address is used to create smart links to open the Vehicle Page at the member level associated with the email address.

Valuation Kit App

  • This app utilizes the VIN, a price and  a mileageto return a set of analytics called the Valuation Kit.
  • When auto generated from the Valuation Page this app utilizes the VIN, the Last Price Spidered and the Last Mileage Spidered in the database.
  • Aauto generated entries can be manually overridden.
  • The app only accepts a 17 digit NHTSA VIN that is already in the database
  • Results are returned to the screen only.

    • This chart tracks market average prices from 90 days to 24 months.
    • At each observation date market average price and the total inventory count are displayed.
    • Data analytics includes only vehicles with price and mileage.
    • Pull a chart using a VIN or a build specifications selector.

    Market Price Timeline Enhanced

    • This chart tracks market average and median prices from 90 days to 24 months.
    • At each observation date the market average price, market median price, market average price selta (change) to date, market median price delta (change) to date, the number of days to date and the total inventory count are displayed.
    • Data analytics includes only vehicles with price and mileage.
    • Pull a chart using a VIN or a build specifications selector.

    Vehicle Price Comparison Timeline

    • This chart allows for the selection and comparison of two different build specifications.
    • This chart tracks market average prices from 90 days to 24 months.
    • At each observation date the market average price, market average price selta (change) to date, the number of days to date and the total inventory count are displayed.
    • Data analytics includes only vehicles with price and mileage.
    • Pull a chart using the build specifications selector.

    Market Inventory Value Snapshot

      • This chart displays the current priced market invetory for a build specificaion in graphic form.
      • At each observation point the vehicle’s mileage, price and $ per mile are displayed.
      • Data analytics includes only vehicles with price and mileage.
      • Pull a chart using a VIN or a build specifications selector.

    Reports

    Daily Spider Based

    • All reports are based upon the results from the daily Spider.
    • The Spider is a sophisticated software application which acquires data using a highly advanced proprietary crawling technology designed for large scale web harvesting in compliance with robots exclusion protocols.
    • Spider data is pulled daily for the optimal valuation period using our proprietary algorithms and applies updates to all vehicles which have never been spidered or which have not been updated by the Spider within the optimal analytics period.

    Spider Based Email Reports

    • Emails containing that day’s market updates, narrative and summary reports are sent out daily.
    • Emails are only sent to subscribers at certain service levels. view service level comparisons.
    • Unsubscribing from this email is only possible by submitting an unsubscribe request using the contact form.
    • Emails are sent from spider@scage.com.

    Daily Market Update Generic

    • This is a free daily report combining all marques. user registration is not required.
    • The report lists all of the vehicles spidered daily and their market stats and comps.
    • The Comprehensive Vehicle Report links are generic.
    • Marque specific Daily Market Updates with user customized Comprehensive Vehicle Report links are avaiable to subscribers.

    • This is a series of individual reports for Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren and Porsche.
    • The report lists all of the vehicles spidered daily and their market stats and comps in summary form.
    • The Comprehensive Vehicle Report links are user customized.

    • Comprehensive Vehicle Report is a proprietary link to the vehicle page customized to each individual member.
    • Last Price Spidered is the asking price of vehicle at this Spider date.
    • Body Average Market Price is the average asking price of this Model+Submodel+Body at this Spider date.
    • Last Price to Body Avg Mkt Price $ Delta is the asking price dollar delta to the average asking price of this Model+Submodel+Body at this Spider date.
    • Last Price to Body Avg Mkt Price % Delta is the asking price percentage delta to the average asking price of this Model+Submodel+Body at this Spider date.
    • Body Average Market Price is the average asking price of this Model+Submodel+Body at this pull date.
    • Last Mileage Spidered is the mileage of vehicle at this Spider Date.
    • Body Average Market Mileage is the average mileage of this Model+Submodel+Body at this Spider date.
    • First Spidered is the earliest Spider pull date for this vehicle indicating from which date additional market history is available.
