Hello. I’m your host Arthur Ficial. Welcome to the BAT Watcher for March 22 2023.

We start with a 2022 Lamborghini Aventador. LP  780  –  4.  Ultimae in Rosso Efesto. With Nero Ade Alcantara. By the listing it has logged 322 miles.

There are 55 Ultimae in the SC Sage database, of which 30 are coupe. Fifteen of these are currently on the market. An extremely high saturation percentage, at 50 percent.

The average market price for this model is $822,510, with 764 miles. The median price is $819,991. Not a significant percentage spread. Less than 5%.

The overall market high price, is $1,000,000 with 268 miles. The lowest market price, is $699,000 with 3,042 miles.

This vehicle has been logged on SC Sage since September 2022. Located at Mclaren Charlotte with 290 miles at $999,996. It could not sell there, eben with a price drop to $889,000. Most recently it was listed by Carrio Motor Cars.

It’s the Wild West out there.

Next we have a Ferrari, 2018, 488 Spider. Grigio Alloy with Nero Leather interior. According to the auction listing, it has logged 6,000 miles.

There are 1,528, model 4 88 Spider in the SC Sage database. 164 units are currently on the market. This is over 10% of the build, which should be considered a saturated market. A saturated market should benefit buyers who have many choices, in a 4 88 spider.

The average market price for this model is $312,207, with 9,495 miles. The median price is $312,500. Median mileage is 8,232.

The overall market high price, is $379,990, for 3,304 miles. Which makes little sense. For example, there is a 480 mile example, at $359,000. A price and mileage combination, that does make more sense.

On the low end, there is $89,950 example, with a salvage title, airbags deployed.

You can view all of the cars on the market at SC Sage.

The example here at auction has been seen by SC Sage since September 2022. Offered at $355,000 with 6,296 miles. Very recently it as offered at $311,488 with the same mileage.

Please tell me someone didn’t trade this magnificent steed in on an Audi?

Our next auction is for a 7,000 mile, 2000 Ferrari 550. Maranello Berlinetta in Rosso Corsa with Beige leather.

The average market price for this model is $260,420, with 15,986 miles. This example is nearly half those miles.

The median price is $252,448. Less than the 5% spread between median and average price, which we consider as demonstrating up or down price pressure.

The overall Berlinetta market high price, is $399,995, for a 2,465 mile example. The low price is $174,888, for a car with 32,637 miles.

This is a very narrow market.

This example now seen at auction, has been seen by SC Sage in December 2022 at $289,888. Then again in January 2023, at a much reduced $259,888.

This is a claimed original owner vehicle at those dates. The autocheck report would appear to support this claim.

The 550 Maranello, is a special car!

I recently sold my 2013 12C Spyder and bought a 720 S model. I can say that the 12C was an extremely reliable car. And that it is the best power for dollar super car, on the road today.

We will now look at a Lamborghini Gallardo. 2008 manual Spyder. LP 520 – 4. In Nero Noctis with Terra Semele leather interior.

There are 644, LP  520 – 4 Spyder, in the SC Sage database. 39 comps are on the market. A fairly normal percentage of the overall build.

The average market price for this model is $132,325. However, breaking down by transmission, on the market are around 4 times the number of automatic than manual.

The automatic transmission average market price is $119,959, with 20,542 miles. With the manual transmission, the average market price jumps steeply to $185,321, with a much lower 13,794 miles.

The price range for the manual spyder is from $199,900 down to $157,900.

This particular example was first logged in November 2021 at Beverly Hills Porsche. Priced at $119,991 with 29,445 miles.

Manual trans is the only pre 2009 to have. Unless, you like buying E gear clutches.

Our penultimate example is a 32,000 mile, 2009, Porsche. 997.1, Turbo Cabriolet. In Atlas Grey with Brown natural leather.

There are 2,467, of this model Turbo Cabriolet in the SC Sage database. Of these, 52 are on the market today.

With this turbo model, we must drill down to the transmission, which certainly makes a difference.

The average cabriolet price with Tiptronic transmission is $79,230, with 43,913 miles.

In manual transmission the cabriolet figures are $109,288, with 31,277 miles.

For reference, the manual turbo coupe, logs in at $130,174 in average price, with 31,564 miles. And the Tiptronic coupe at $82,349, with 47,276 miles.

An interesting fact to note, is that there were only 5 examples of the Turbo Cabriolet, manual transmission in this color combination, built for North America.

This vehicle was first logged by SC Sage in October 2018, at McLaren Houston. The Autocheck report reveals this to be a 2 owner car with no reported accidents.

Great looking cab!

We conclude this week’s BAT Watcher, with a 10,000 mile, 2016, Ferrari 488 G T B. In Rosso Corsa with Nero Leather.

There are 1,220 of this Ferrari coupe in the SC Sage database. Of these, 141 are currently on offer. This is more than 10%, and represents an oversaturated market.

There should be price pressure for motivated sellers.

The average market price for this model is $272,015, with 10,270 miles. We note that, of all the model years, the 2016 has the lowest average price at $257,082.

The overall market high price is $389,995, with 2,365 miles.

This price though, is an outlier. A price that will never be paid. In fact, this outlier has been on the market at this price for some time, with no takers.

On the low end is $189,986, for a 2017 with 5,050 miles. A much more reasonable offer. Although, this particular example has been hanging around, unsold.

In the SC Sage database we find this auction example, first on the radar, at $250,000, with 8,471 miles in May 2021.

Looking at the Autocheck report, the vehicle has a very high, 5 owners, but with no reported accidents. Most recently with Alabama registration.

This car is perfect with the exception of the lack of a suspension lift.
